INSPIRATION:

'The match, the wand, and the hand that strikes it. Three things that only become a spell together. This is Firestarter. 

There's something deliberate about lighting a candle with a matchstick. The scratch, the hiss, the small bloom of flame. It's one of the simplest rituals I know, and one of the most intentional. It's a habit that goes back to where all of this began for me.

It opens with a pungent little hiss, the instant a match strikes. Then it warms through a mix of spices, and the honeyed, sun-dried glow of helichrysum. Underneath, guaiac and torchwood dry down smoky and resinous, with amber holding the last of the heat. The smoke doesn't take over, only the glow it leaves behind.' / AK
