INSPIRATION:

'Earthbound. Roots below, leaves above, and the ground holding both.

I'm fascinated by the two directions of a plant: the root system that keeps growing downward while the rest reaches up. The ground is what supports both. To me, planting a seed is a small act that can be charged with intention. As the plant grows, so does what you're calling in.

Earthbound took me the longest to finish. I set out to make something with gourmand indulgence, but with every iteration it pulled me somewhere deeper. It began with ambrette and coriander seeds, invigorating ginger rhizomes, then deepened into savoury mushroom and lush patchouli, to finally settle into earthy vetiver and oakmoss. A scent of contrasts: complex, buzzing and full of life, like pulling a piece of moss from a boulder.' /AK
