Before I left for anything that mattered, my mom would fill a glass of water, walk me to the door, and spill it onto the ground in front of me. "May it go swimmingly for you," she'd say. I remember the wet ground under my feet more than the words themselves — how something in me loosened the moment I stepped onto it, the nervousness changing shape rather than disappearing. It’s the memory that Ace of Cups brings to me. 

Spearmint, juniper and cypress open with a cold aquatic current. Chamomile and clary sage soften it into herbaceous warmth. And at the base, seaweed's marine depth settles onto a quiet floor of oakmoss - everything finally coming to rest.' / AK
